Recently renovated and set in private grounds of 10 acres the house comprises of four spacious bedrooms. The ground floor bedroom has an en suite shower room and there are two upstairs bedrooms and two further bathrooms. The large well equipped kitchen is equipped with a cooker, fridge- freezer and dishwasher. The property also has a large dining room seating 8 people, and a high chair is available for younger guests, there is also a cosy lounge with a log fire, Satellite TV and a DVD player.

The large garden of the farmhouse rental which has space for parking and an enclosed front garden is planted with lavender and would make an ideal area for dining Al fresco and cooking on the BBQ.

Upon leaving the house to explore your surroundings you will arrive upon Aulnay which is the closest town, it offers a varied selection of restaurants and bars and a wonderful weekly market where it is possible to stock up on fresh local produce such as cheese, olives, wines, meats and seafood. The town also has a wonderful bakers offering daily fresh bread and a variety of croissants and pastries.

A wonderful example of the type of day trip you could be soon enjoying would be to drive to Cognac and visit the world famous cognac houses such as Remy Martin, Hennessy, Martell and Otard, learn more about the distillery process and perhaps make a purchase. Other local attractions for guests of all ages include Local attractions include the zoo at La Palmiere, Monkey Valley, Crocodile Planet and the fantastic Futuroscope in Poitiers.

The closest coastal town is Fouras, from where you can take a boat trip to the beautiful Islands of Ile de Re and the Ile d'Oleron pack a picnic or enjoy the locally caught fresh oysters.
